Sometimes it’s good just to laugh.  Whatever you are feeling just gets left at the door in our session.  We don’t need it.  We get to play, be silly, be a bit like big kids instead of trying to impress everyone.  I didn’t realise talking about snoring, miming falling over and wearing a rainbow wig could make you feel quite so happy…….’

A circus of thrills and spills presented by Theatre Orchard, featuring top international acts, a strollercoaster, colour-in caravan,

and a sparkly ice cream van with DJ serving up sweet treats and beats! Plus stilt walkers, balloon modellers, facepainters and entertainers galore.

Highlights include Europe’s acclaimed circus troupe Cirque du Platzak, Australia’s strongest woman,

Dizzy O Dare’s giant balloon show, alternative tourist guide Miss Inform, The Mighty Gareth family show, Invisible Circus and a Fire Spectacular finale from FireOz……


Taking inspiration from Theatre Orchard’s ‘Weekend of Wonders’ down at Theatre Tropicana our Bournville Young Theatre Makers explored the incredibly serious subject of, drum roll and a ‘parp parp please, 


Everything from, ‘my sister snoring’ to ‘farting in Maths class’, ‘trying not to laugh’, ‘funny memes’ and ‘people falling over’ was considered, delved into and ultimately performed using a variety of comic style!  The deep and thoughtful discussion was topped off with a physical comedy, slapstick and clowning workshop and, unsurpringly these talented young performers, produced work that would give Groucho and Harpo a real run for their money!
