A group of like-minded people came together to talk about their own family’s stories around the Great War. It was stirring, interesting and moving to hear of their ancestors’ tales.
They also worked together to create a group poem by simply completing this sentence:
When this war has ended…
Once everyone had contributed a sentence it was put all together. Out of this simple idea came a quite beautiful collaborative poem. Here it is:
When this war has ended…
Will time begin again?
Your smile will be forever more
I’ll see my loved ones faces again
There will be time again for love
I’ll knock on that door harder then ever before
Will we hear the music
Can we still be friends?
I will hold your hand once again
I will hear laugher & joy
How much will be lost?
You & I will walk by the river in the sun
