July 16 @ 7:00 pm£6
1970s Weston-super-Mare is the atmospheric setting of Patrick Gale’s recent critically acclaimed novel ‘Take Nothing with You’. A unique opportunity to join Patrick in an intimate evening at Weston Museum and walk the streets of this mesmerising coming-of-age tale, which Stephen Fry has described as “Absolutely one of his best…. a wonderful, wonderful read.”
Born on the Isle of Wight in 1962, Patrick Gale spent his infancy at Wandsworth Prison, where his father was Governor. He now lives on a farm near Land’s End. This is his twenty first novel, with a radiant back catalogue that includes ‘Notes from an Exhibition’ (selected for Richard & Judy Book Club 2008) and ‘A Place Called Winter’.
Venue has a pay bar.
“Weston is such an extraordinary, colourful place that I felt I had to write about it the moment I visited. I’m really looking forward to coming back to say thank you!” Patrick Gale
